I spent 12 years struggling with my own weight issues.

From the ages of 18 to 30, I constantly thought about what I should eat, what I shouldn’t eat, what I wanted to eat, what I had eaten, what I was going to eat and, on and on and on.

By 2005, I’d hit rock bottom.

I’d had enough.

I knew there had to be more to life. That was when I made the decision to stop dieting. I began working on my mindset which was when my relationship with food and my body image changed. And, surprisingly, I actually lost weight.

I discovered weight loss wasn’t just about food and exercise.

For more than a decade, all I focused on to lose weight was eating less and exercising more.

And for more than a decade, that method had failed me.

I was still at a weight I wasn’t happy with and I was still obsessing about food all the time. So when I shifted my focus to work on my thoughts, behaviours and mindset, not only did I lose weight, but my relationship with food and my body changed dramatically.

I started living a life I love. Once my mindset shifted, my life completely changed. I stopped thinking about food all day and started living a life full of all the things I enjoy doing. I met my now husband, I left an unhappy corporate job and in 2009 I qualified as a personal trainer and life coach.

I now work one on one with women to help and support them to get to where I am today, to stop feeling crazy around food and start living a life with more joy, meaning and happiness.

Amelia Bell is a Weight Loss Coach who specialises in helping women lose weight without dieting so they can stop feeling crazy around food.

She’s a proud mum to two young boys, former corporate world employee and now entrepreneur who is changing the world one life at a time.

When she’s not working one on one with clients you can find her spending time with her two boys, scrapbooking, catching up with friends over a hot chocolate or eating at some of the best dessert places Adelaide has to offer!
